Games Room

A game room is a great room to play games in. For many, a game room is a recreational haven where they can get away from their annoying family. The good thing about a game room is that you can put whatever games you want in there. Some people have a game room which is full of board games, others have a game room which is full of computer games and others have a game room which is full of grouse and pheasant.

If your house has a basement, this may be a good room to transform into a game room. Alternatively, if you have a spare room that is occasionally used by your deadbeat children when they are unemployed, that would be better served as a game room. Having a game room is much more fun that having a spare room. When you have decided which room is going to be transformed into the game room, you will have to convince your wife about the whole game room idea. There are various ways to bribe someone to allow a game room so think carefully. One idea would be to wander around the house chanting "game room, game room, game room, game room" until it becomes so annoying that your wife gives in.

I recall an episode of that much loved sitcom Friends where the character Chandler Bing wanted to turn a spare room into a game room but his girlfriend did not. Oh how we here at Everything About Houses laughed at the idea that somebody would not want a game room. Imagine a game room with a darts board, a game room with a pool table, a game room with a really big arcade frogger, pacman and space invaders. What a game room that would be. If I had that kind of game room I would become a hermit and never leave the game room… except to use the bathroom.

So now I have convinced you to get a game room…have fun and remember that a game room is not just for you, it is for anyone who loves games.
