Flower Garden
A lot of work goes into a flower garden. The end result is well worth it, but it takes a lot of time to keep it looking beautiful.
Deciding what kind of flowers and plants you want in your flower garden is the fun part. There are numerous books for gardeners to look through and see what kind of flowers they want to grow.
Another decision you have to make is if you want a perennial flower garden or an annual flower garden. I would think a bit of both would be best.
Planting perennial flowers makes good sense. The first year you plant them your flower garden looks young and sparse. But the next spring it is fun to watch the flowers you planted the year before start to come up out of the ground. Many gardeners are extremely proud of their gardens.
They take care of them hours on end. Weeding, moving things around, talking and singing to them, showing them off to people and explaining each flower to them, and ofcoarse sitting back and watching it grow.
A flower garden can attract butterflies. It can also attract bees and other pesty insects that you would prefer to do with out.
Either way, I think the enjoyment we get from flower gardens outweighs any problems that may occur.
Parks are a great place to look at flower gardens. Many will go wander through the parks just to look at the gardens. People have their wedding photos taken in parks in front of the beautiful flower gardens. Some of the most beautiful gardens in people's back yards are part of the gardening tour and bus loads of people pull up and wander through the back yard admiring the flowers. I guess you have to be a really good gardener and really proud of your flower garden to have the bus pull up to take a look.
