Patio Umbrellas

Thank goodness for patio umbrellas. It is such a treat to sit outside on a warm summer's day and enjoy a meal. I almost always have my patio umbrella open to keep the sun from beating down on my face.

Patio umbrellas are found on most patios at restaurants and bars. They look really nice and colourful sitting there in a row. People are relaxing, shooting the breeze with a cold beverage and taking in the sights.

Advertising has become really popular on patio umbrellas. Beer companies and drink companies will put their logo on the umbrellas and have them all over the outdoor patio. I guess they are hoping that the customers who aren't sure what they want to drink will look at the advertisement and order that beverage. I'm sure it works.

Some companies put the name of their company on a patio umbrella and send it home with their employees as a gift. They will also give the umbrellas to their clients. It is a good way to get their name out there.

Some of the stands that people put their patio umbrellas in are really nice looking. They are usually made of rod iron and have some sort of pattern on them. They are designed to be really sturdy and support the patio umbrella when the wind is blowing. Sometimes when the wind is really strong you will see an umbrella blow right over. If it is in the hole in the middle of a light plastic table, the table often falls over with it.

Because you can move the stand around, it is nice to put the patio umbrella in the yard off the deck or patio, and stretch out underneath the umbrella with a good book. Take a chaise lounge with you a grab a nap. I little R&R, something we don't tend to get enough of.
